We are a Colorado Race Timing Company that started in 2001 with 2 intents:
- To be the best at what we do and
- to make sure our clients are having fun!
Meet our owners:
Cath Jett
Cath started out as an athlete at the age of 10. She had success as a junior ski racer but found that once she entered University, she had no time for racing. She then skied in the Rocky Mountain Masters race series until a powder day lured her out of the starting gate. It was about that time that she discovered mountain biking. She raced bikes for several years until she discovered running. Her latest accomplishment was finishing a half marathon 8 weeks post-appendectomy!
A graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology, Cath earned an advanced degree in Applied Information Technology and took that with her when she began to develop CJ Sports Timing.
You can find her helping with registration, race management, as well as along many of Telluride’s beautiful singletrack trails.

Racing is in my DNA
From the time that I was young, I always enjoyed the ‘race’. Growing up I found myself racing to school each day on my own personal time trial. I tried different routes and techniques on my bicycle to find the
fastest way. I found thrill and success when I began to race snowboards. This was the early years of snowboarding and I did find success at the national level. Eventually, injuries and time dictated that event organization and operations were the paths forward in my passion for sports.
My favorite part of my role with CJ Sports Timing is problem-solving. Finding innovative solutions to technical problems of timing and event operations fascinates me. With tools and concepts along with extensive testing and trials, the most complex scoring platforms have been utilized translating to instant results for our diverse client base. Complex bracket races, factored Paralympic events, remote point timing splits in the wilderness and live tracking with projected finish times are just some of the solutions that have been successfully delivered. I am constantly reviewing our existing events for opportunities to improve timing technologies for organizers and athletes, it just keeps getting better.
We take the stress out of your events because we have the experience and the technology to deliver World Cup level timing to your event.
